KAWAI RX-5 ARTIST GRAND PIANO
The flexible size of the RX-5 Chanber Grand could fill a recital hall with outstanding power and presence, yet not overpower the more intimate ambiance of the studio or home. The RX-5 played a significant role in venerable RX Series line of grand pianos introduced by Kawai in 1995. Revered for their extraordinary tone and touch, the six RX Series models featured Kawai’s Ultra-Responsive Action with composite parts made of ABS-Styran. This action was far more stable than the conventional all-wooden actions offered by other piano makers.
But Kawai continued to more forward to evolve the piano art form. In 2013, the RX Series was replaced by the GX BLAK Performance Series featuring the ground-breaking Millennium III Grand Action with ABS-Carbon parts. Carbon composites are stronger and lighter to provide a faster keystroke and greater consistency of touch and performance than pianos of the past. The performer will immediately hear and feel the difference.
