The RX-3 Conservatory Grand was an integral part of the celebrated RX Series line of grand pianos introduced by Kawai in 1995. The RX Series was admired for its outstanding tone and touch. The six RX Series models featured Kawai’s Ultra-Responsive Action with ABS-Styran composite parts. This action was a substantial improvement over the traditional all-wooden actions offered by most other piano makers. But Kawai could never stop looking to the future.

In 2013, the RX Series was replaced by the GX BLAK Series featuring the revolutionary Millennium III Grand Action with ABS-Carbon parts. Piano parts made of carbon composites are lighter and stronger to provide a swifter keystroke and greater consistency of touch and performance than any other instruments. The performer will immediately feel the difference.
