The RX-2 Classic Salon Grand was vital part of Kawai’s RX Series flagship line of grand pianos first introduced in 1995. The RX Series was respected worldwide for its outstanding tone and touch. The six RX Series models were known across the industry for the exclusive Kawai Ultra-Responsive Action with ABS composite parts. The Ultra-Responsive Action was far better than the conventional all-wooden actions used on most other brands of pianos. But advancement is a key philosophy at Kawai.

The RX Series was replaced in 2013 by the GX BLAK Series featuring our ground-breaking Millennium III Grand Action with ABS-Carbon Composite parts. Carbon composite parts are stronger and lighter to provide a faster keystroke and greater consistency than ever before. The player will immediately hear and feel the difference.
